Disney+ Shows Will Be Weekly

In the current age of streaming, we have no idea what each service will do when it comes to their ongoing shows. Netflix pioneered the idea of “full-season drops,” wherein an entire season of a show would drop at once, allowing viewers to binge the entire thing on day one, if they so desired.

However, other streaming services, like Hulu, have experimented using WEEKLY releases. This allows them to keep series in the news cycle for a longer period, all while helping pad out a smaller slate of shows. Both methods have their pros and cons, but what would Disney+ use?

TheWrap has confirmed via a Disney+ spokesperson that their service will be releasing episodes for their shows on a weekly basis. This was also confirmed by Tim Federle, High School Musical: the Musical: the Series creator and co-showrunner, who said their 10 episodes will be released on a weekly basis.

Which method do you prefer? I can’t say for sure which ones I prefer. Yes, binging is great for some shows, but there are others that can benefit from a little bit of off-time. Let us know your thoughts down below!
