Everyone’s favorite serial killer could be joining the trend of reboots and revivals. Michael C. Hall, who played Dexter Morgan for eight seasons on Dexter, says he would be interested in bringing the show back, if the idea was right. Hall recently spoke with Variety, and said not to count Dexter out just yet.
“Maybe. It’s a possibility given how the show ended that we could revisit Dexter. I have just yet to, for my part, imagine or hear someone else’s idea that makes it feel worth doing. But never say never.”
This is one reboot, that I hope does come to fruition. The show had one of the more unusual premises to ever be shown on screen. It put the viewer in the odd position of rooting for a character that killed people, even though the majority of Dexter’s kills were justified in one way or another, he was still killing people.
I loved Dexter for most of its series run. The show, for me, started to decline in Season 7 (though I am aware that for many fans, the show’s decline began sooner). The show’s ending never sat well with me either, the only suitable ending in my opinion, would have been to kill Dexter.
Michael C. Hall, if you’re looking for a good idea for a Dexter revival, I have one, but I lost your number. Please contact me.
