According to the Barside Buzz, there is still a Midnight Sons film in development in the MCU, though we don’t even have Blade yet. This team up movie for the more supernatural side of MCU heroes has long ben rumored by insiders. However the entire MCU machine has been halted and delayed considerably. There’s also a shake up to improve quality and reduce content. Therefore, it’s possible this idea had been shelved along the way.
However, regular Marvel insider MTTSH says there is definitely still a Midnight Sons movie happening.

Though I would not expect this to happen anytime soon. For a start, there’s no way they make this movie before Blade which should be hitting theatres in 2025, (but I think will slip to 2026). Blade/Mahershala Ali you’d imagine would lead this ensemble cast. As for who else could be in the team, it’s hard to say? At one point you might have said Black Knight. However, it seems Dane Whitman may only appear in Blade as another post-credit tease. Other strong contenders could be Moon Knight and/or Werewolf by Night. As per the image above, other possibilities are Punisher and and Doctor Strange. I can’t see Strange doing this one, but this could be a good place to let Punisher off the leash if he’s killing monsters instead of criminals.

I seriously doubt we’d see this movie until maybe in between Avengers 5 and Secret Wars. That remains to be seen though so it could end up not happening until post Secret Wars which is rumored to be a mini reboot of the MCU. Then again, what do I know? There are a few well rumored projects that have never been officially announced. However you have to think that’s changing this Summer. I don’t believe what I see for Marvel on the current Disney slate. I expect a raft of release date changes at SDCC this year, with perhaps one or two newly announced projects. Guess we’ll find out in Summer.
