Mike Myers Would Love To Do Another Austin Powers Film

It appears as if another beloved franchise could be on the pathway back to the big screen. Mike Myers, who created the Austin Powers franchise says a fourth installment into the series is something he would very much like to do. Myers recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight, and expressed his interest in the project, while also outlining his main idea for the film.

“I would love to do a movie from Dr. Evil’s perspective. So it would be Dr. Evil 1, Austin Powers 4, is how I would roll… Start the campaign, please. Thank you.”

This is a project that has long been talked about, with no real movement forward. I like Myers’ idea of doing the film from the perspective of everyone’s favorite villain hellbent on world domination, Dr. Evil. It would be a change for the franchise, but perhaps one that is needed, and one that will give the series the fresh take to make it a success. While Austin Powers would certainly have to be involved in a fourth film, the character has had his time in the spotlight, and now it has come time to focus on Dr. Evil.

Myers recently reprised the character during a bit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
