Miranda July
Mirandy July directed Kajillionaire that stars Gina Rodriguez and Evan Rachel Wood.

Miranda July knows how to make unique and whimsical film art.

In July’s Kajillionaire, the film follows an eccentric family as they survive from one con job to another.

The film stars Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld, Thirteen), Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin, Deepwater Horizon), Richard Jenkins (The Shape of Water, The Visitor), and Debra Winger (Terms of Endearment, An Officer and a Gentleman). July directed and wrote the story.

Here’s the official synopsis:

From acclaimed writer/director Miranda July comes a profoundly moving and wildly original comedy. Con-artists Theresa (Debra Winger) and Robert (Richard Jenkins) have spent 26 years training their only daughter, Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood), to swindle, scam, and steal at every opportunity. During a desperate, hastily conceived heist, they charm a stranger (Gina Rodriguez) into joining their next scam, only to have their entire world turned upside down.
