Today we share some more Indy 5 Sicily set photos and these new images show both Ford and Mikkelsen in costume for the movie. There is also a small scene description involving Indy that feels tonally perfect for an Indiana Jones movie.
First up, let’s get a look at Ford and Mikkelsen in costume, courtesy of @indy5news shall we?

Indy looks like Indy, so no surprises there. However, I have to say I do get a Belloq feeling from the look of Mikkelsen. That character is clearly many years dead, so it is just a look. As far as we know, Mikkelsen is playing the lead antagonist of the movie opposite Ford. As for what is going down in the shoot, harder to say? However we do have at least one small scene description below. So take a gander.

I assume in, rather than on, should be used here. However, this does feel like the kind of humor we are used to seeing from an Indiana Jones movie. You can just imagine this bamboozled couple being driven around by an old American archaeologist. Perhaps Mikkelsen’s character is the one giving chase, though we cannot say that for certain right now.
As you can see above, this is just the latest set of images taken from the Indy 5 Sicily shoot. So far we have almost no idea what is going on in the scenes being shot. That’s juxtaposed with previous production images from the U.K. shoot. In those we could tell that a younger version of Indy was escaping from a Nazi prisoner camp of some kind during WWII. We also know that the movie will be set in 1969 because the scenes shot in Glasgow were stand in’s for the Apollo 11 ticker tape parade that took place in NYC in 1969 for the returning heroes.
What we still have no idea about yet, is what the MacGuffin, and the plot will be of Indy 5? There are some rumors, but I feel most are just educated guess work thus far.
What do you think of these Indy 5 Sicily set photos that show both Ford and Mikkelsen in costume? As always, leave any thoughts below.
