More Talk Of Lethal Weapon 5 Hits The Rumor Mill

Mel Gibson To Direct And Star In Lethal Weapon 5

More talk of a new installment into the buddy cop franchise, Lethal Weapon. The popular series of movies starred Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, Joe Pesci was added to the cast in the second film.

Rumors of a fifth film have circulated for some time now, with really no movement toward the film being a reality. You can check out what “a pal who works in location management on various series, including Fox’s” Lethal Weapon series,” had to say about it below. Grain of salt, here ya go!

“Gibson, Glover, Pesci doing that. [The] script is super solid I heard. [It] may shoot this year. Doubt there will be overlap with TV.”

While the project doesn’t seem to be getting much traction, with the reboots and revivals of classic franchises, I would say there’s a fairly good chance that at some point we’ll see this film get made as it holds a lot of nostalgia for a lot of people.

Bill and Ted Face the Music was once stuck in the same sort of movie limbo, and now we’re getting a new Bill and Ted movie. When? Yeah, not going to make that call.

Do you think this film will ever get made? Let us know in the comments down below!
