Morgan Kohan On Her Role In The Marijuana Conspiracy [Exclusive Interview]

Marijuana

Earlier in the day, we posted an interview with Doreen Brown. She took part in an experiment in the 70s that studied the effects of Marijuana on women. Unfortunately, the experiment yielded results that were counter to the agenda that the Canadian government had at that time. So it was all swept under the rug. After the women were stuck in a building for 98 days smoking weed, they were just released and forgotten. The results were never released or heard of again.

With Doreen Brown’s story to The Toronto Star comes Samuel Goldwyn’s film The Marijuana Conspiracy. The film follows five of the women that were part of the experiment. Focusing on the effects of the isolation as well as the increased amounts of marijuana that were not normal for people to consume. Writer and director Craig Pryce did a great job at setting the tone with the accepted culture of the 70s.

Here is the synopsis for The Marijuana Conspiracy

In 1972, five young women looking for a fresh start in life became part of a radical experiment studying the effects of weed on women. Despite the agendas of the government, they use their unique strengths, and friendship to overcome adversity.
