Ms. Marvel Start Date And Kamala Khan Rumor | LRM’s Barside Buzz

Rumored Ms Marvel Premiere Date And Episode Titles | Barside Buzz

Kamala Kahn, aka Ms. Marvel is coming to the MCU, but just how soon? Today we have a rumoured Ms. Marvel start date as well as a hint that the character may appear in another project first.

In the comics Kamal Khan is an Inhuman, it remains to be seen how this will factor into the MCU. Inhumans are a part of the MCU, but thus far only on TV. Both Inhumans (duh), and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have dealt with the origins of the Inhumans, however the group hasn’t been name dropped in any of the movies. Could this be about to change with Kamal Kahn, or will she instead be a Mutant? That all remains to be seen for now.

According to Murphy’s Multiverse, Ms. Marvel is set to begin filming this November, through to March, 2021. This reported start date has also been backed up by the folks at Discussing Film. However, according to Murphy’s sources, the casting for Kamala herself is being fast tracked. The outlet believes this is because Kamala Khan will show up first of all in another movie or Disney+ show from the MCU. There is no hint of where that first appearance could occur from the outlet, however we can make a few assumptions.

I’ll rule out Black Widow, and Eternals which both finished filming some time ago. I will also rule out two of the Disney+ shows. Falcon and The Winter Soldier isn’t finished, but it is supposed to be, so that would just be weird. WandaVision, which would be a good guess otherwise, has also finished filming and should be set for release by early 2021.

Ms. Marvel start date

So where could Kamala Khan show up? On the movie side, the top contenders would be Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, or Spider-Man 3. From those two I’d find Khan a more likely fit for Spidey 3. Shang-Chi was also delayed due to Coronavirus and it seems unlikely that they would leave the casting of Kamal Khan so late in the game. Spider-Man 3 given the age of Peter and Kamala, would be my number one guess. If instead there is something planned for a Disney+ show, then our top contenders would surely be Loki and Hawkeye. I personally don’t find any of those likely, and I’m not even sure if Hawkeye will release after Ms. Marvel on Disney+ yet? So again, this points most strongly to Spider-Man 3 for me.

However, this is all just rumor and it could well be that the first time we meet Kamal Khan will be in the Ms. Marvel Disney+ show. Just don’t be surprised if she shows up in Spider-Man 3 is all I am saying. Kamala appearing in a movie, before her Disney+ show is due to hit, would also be a very smart marketing move.

For now, we have to wait and see. What do you think of this rumoured Ms. Marvel start date? Do you agree with my logic in placing Spider-Man 3 as the most likely spot for Kamala to show up early? Share your thoughts below as always.
