Netflix Cancels True Crime Parody Series American Vandal

The Emmy-nominated Netflix Mockumentary series American Vandal has been cancelled by the streaming giant and will end it’s run after just two seasons. The show, which is a spoof of the true crime genre, the first season of the show followed the story of a student accused of drawing penises on vehicles around the school.

“We’re very grateful to the creators, writers, cast and crew for bringing their innovative comedy to Netflix, and to the fans and critics who embraced its unique and unconventional humor.”

I had heard of the show, but never really investigated what it was all about until I seen a clip of the show on Facebook that claimed to be real footage. A comment on the post mentioned it was part of a show called American Vandal. After that I went to Netflix and began watching the show.

Oddly enough I started on the second season, which chronicled the events of a seemingly normal day at school, until someone decided to spike the lemonade with laxative. Yes, people were running to the bathroom, and some didn’t quite make it. It’s a bummer the show won’t return for a third season, with my immature sense of humor, I found it hilarious.
