Netflix Denies The Witcher Release Date Leak Rumor

Earlier this week, we reported news surrounding Netflix’s big upcoming fantasy series The Witcher. The news came courtesy of the Netherlands’ Netflix social media accounts where they revealed the release dates of several seasons of TV for different shows, and one of them included was none other than The Witcher.

The post revealed that it would come out in 97 days, meaning a December 17, 2019 release date was likely on the table. However, as expected, Netflix has since gone on to deny this.

“The launch date for The Witcher has not yet been confirmed,” they told VGC. “The post was made by Netflix accounts in the Netherlands in error, and not all of the information contained in it is accurate/final.”

So, what does this mean? Is it wrong? I mean…maybe. In all honesty, I have a suspicion that it was only posted in error because it was simply too soon to reveal some of these dates. I wouldn’t put it past Netflix to change up the dates for the heck of it, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if nothing changes at all.

What do you think of Netflix’s denial of this claim? Do you buy it? Sound off down below!
