Netflix Officially Removes User Reviews

Netflix has removed all user reviews of the content that is offered by the streaming service. Netflix stopped accepting new reviews on July 30, and today the company permanently removed all existing user reviews. The company started to alert subscribers to the move about a month ago. So what is the reason for the move? According to Netflix’s help site folks simply weren’t using the reviews as much as they once were.

“Netflix customers were able to leave reviews on Netflix.com until mid-2018, when reviews were removed due to declining use,”

To be honest, until I decided to be the one to bring you this lovely piece of news, I had no idea that Netflix even had user reviews, I have always relied on other elements to make my decision on whether or not to watch a film or television show. Along with the network producing the show, the actors and writers play a huge part for me, but the first real test is the trailer, if it can get me interested enough, I will give the show at least a few episodes or the movie a half hour.

I wish I would have known about the reviews, I may have used them.
