The cast of Obi-Wan Kenobi just bulked up by one. Since the official cast reveal by Lucasfilm we have had little else related to the Star Wars show. Today we share an article from Deadline which says Maya Erskine has been added to the cast of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Here is what Deadline said.

‘Disney+ Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi is adding PEN15 star and co-creator Maya Erskine, we can reveal. The Insecure and Scoob! actress will have a supporting role in at least three episodes, we hear. Erskine has been nominated for multiple WGA Awards and a 2019 Emmy for Hulu Original comedy PEN15, which she fronts with Anna Konkle.’

Deadline does not get these kinda details wrong very often do they? So this pretty much confirms Erskine’s role in at least three episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Plot details however, are non-existent for Obi -Wan Kenobi. Therefore, other than obvious known roles from the movies, we have no idea who anyone else is playing, yet.

We expect Obi-Wan Kenobi to begin filming anytime, they could even be started already. Some productions like to tweet out things on the first day, some don’t. What social media messages did you hear about The Book of Boba Fett whilst it was filming? I’ll answer that for you, nada. The point is that Obi-Wan Kenobi may have begun earlier this week for all we know, but whether it has or it hasn’t, things are moving quickly.

I’ll guess we should be hearing some bit of news from Obi-Wan Kenobi on Star Wars Day, May 4th. Clearly not any kind of footage or anything. However, the fans would go wild for a simple BTS of McGregor and Christensen meeting each other on the set. I think we might, but I won’t get my hopes up, the goodness will come eventually.
