New Once Upon A Deadpool Teaser Boasts 20 Minutes Of New Footage

As we’ve written about extensively in the past several weeks, Deadpool 2 is headed back to theaters — but not in the most predictable way possible. Instead of giving us a typical, expletive-laced follow-up to the most recent film, we will instead be getting Once Upon a Deadpool, a family-friendly version of that second film. One with fewer swear words, fewer sex jokes, and presumably, less blood.

But that’s not all. The movie will also come loaded with extra footage. In the past, we’ve pegged the number of minutes at around 15, but in a new teaser from the studio, one of the movie’s stars, Julian Dennison teases 20 full minutes of new footage. Of course, given that they’ll need to remove all the naughty parts, we can presume the runtime will either be shorter or around the same as the standard film, but 20 minutes is still a solid amount of new content to be taking in.

Of course, in the previous teasers, we’ve seen where we’re likely to get the majority of this footage: With Deadpool himself reading a bedtime story to Fred Savage. In addition to that, it looks like there will also be plenty of other scenes laced throughout. It’s enough to get me to at least contemplate heading back to theaters (who the hell am I kidding? Of course I’m going).

Will this footage all be enough? Sound off down below!
