Spider-Man: Homecoming is a hit with critic and fans alike! The film is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a very impressive 94%, matching that of the original Iron Man. Financially, the film brought in $15.4 million from previews last night, compared to the $8.7 million brought in by the previous film to feature Spidey, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. And the movie really is great, perhaps the most fun Marvel Cinematic Universe film, easily cracking the Top 5 best from the MCU overall. So, go see it now! Or, after you read a few more articles…
As if to celebrate the success of the film, Nerdist debuted a brand new poster for the film, and it’s, shall I say, amazing. The poster mirrors the cover to Amazing Fantasy #15, the first appearence of Spider-Man, quite flawlessly.
For comparison, here’s the cover for Amazing Fantasy #15.
There’s just a few updates to reflect the new film. Gone is generic bad-guy; in his place is one of the thieves from the ATM scene from the trailer, still wearing his Iron Man mask and spilling all his cash. Or is that all the cash Marvel and Sony are raking in? Even the angle of the buildings mirrors the original cover, with the audition of Avengers Tower, of course. Would it really be a Spider-Man: Homecoming poster without an Avengers reference?
I want one. Take my money, please!
