Actor Nicholas Cage recently appeared on Variety Studio, and was asked what he thought of the new Justice League movie. Cage had a simple, short answer concerning his thoughts on the film:
“I thought it was fun, yeah, I thought it was fun, that’s all I’m going to say.”

Cage seems to have deeper thoughts on the film, but appears to be reluctant to express them. Admittedly, some of the awkward nature of the video comes from the interviewer, but Cage’s dismissive attitude certainly doesn’t help.
Justice League had its issues, it was by no means a perfect film, but in my opinion it was a monumental improvement for the universe as a whole. Cage is right. It was a “fun” movie.
The Oscar-winning actor was at one time set to play the Man of Steel, in a Tim Burton directed film, Superman Lives. The film never advanced very far, and most fans are thankful for that outcome. For me, the hard sell on the project would have been Cage as Superman. I am all for Burton’s unique cinematic visions, as he was the man who brought Batman to the big screen years ago. If you have seen the pictures of Cage in costume, I think most would agree, that looking back, it is best this project was never made.
