Ocean’s Eight Trailer Tease Hits The Web! Full Trailer Tomorrow!

A very short teaser trailer for the all-female spinoff of the George Clooney-led Ocean’s heist movies has hit the web. Ocean’s 8 will star Sandra Bullock as Danny Ocean’s estranged sister, Debbie, who assembles a team to attempt a heist at the annual New York City Met Gala.

Not a lot can be taken away from the short trailer, it really is just a series of short clips. It does do its job though, getting viewers excited for the film, and very quickly introducing the cast.

The film will be directed by Gary Ross (SeabiscuitThe Hunger Games) who co-wrote the film with Olivia Milch. Also appearing in the film are Cate Blanchett, Olivia Munn, Anne Hathaway, Dakota Fanning, Katie Holmes, Rihanna, and Matt Damon returns as Linus Caldwell.

I always enjoyed the Ocean’s films, I am always down for a fun heist movie. They had great casts and a good enough story to keep viewers entertained. So while this basic idea of a female reboot didn’t quite work out for the new Ghostbusters, I would say that Ocean’s 8, with its well-known cast and the previous Ocean’s movies to build off of, has a much better chance to be a success.
