The Empire struck back on Halloween as an off-duty officer dressed as an Imperial Stormtrooper arrested a driver for DUI. The driver was going to wrong way down the interstate, when spotted by the officer. She then quickly stopped the vehicle, making our little section of the galaxy safer for everyone. And the best part of it is there’s a video, which you can check out below.
This morning a off duty Trooper stopped a wrong way driver from entering the I-15. All this happened while the Trooper was dressed as a Storm Trooper after a Halloween party. As I’m sure anyone else reporting on, or reading this story is wishing the officer would have put on the Stormtrooper helmet to perform her duties. However, I understand why that didn’t happen. I’m sure safety along with other procedural reasons is at the top the list of why she couldn’t make this incident even more awesome than it is. All I can say is…
Helmet or no helmet it’s still a great video. I would assume that at one time or another, somewhere in a galaxy far, far away something similar to this have transpired. An intoxicated driver here on Earth is bad enough, but could you imagine someone leaving a bar on Coruscant all sauced up and then trying to make their way home in Attack of the Clones level traffic.
Drunk driving in a ggalaxy far, far away would be incredibly egregious as on would think that every bar or nightclub would have droids available to transport patrons home. However, that doesn’t mean that someone wouldn’t try to win first prize in a stupid contest and drive…err…fly home themselves.
