We are a little over a month away from the release of Sony Pictures’ Bloodshot starring Vin Diesel as the title character Ray Garrison aka Bloodshot. We have recently seen the marketing for the film star to appear in the form of trailers and a theatrical poster. Today via Valiant Entertainment we have learned about another promotional tool that will get us ready for the film.

Working together, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Valiant Entertainment and Titans Books today are releasing the official movie novelization of Bloodshot which of course is based on the film and the Valiant comic books written by Gavin Smith. The book also contains an exclusive short story titled “Into the Fire”. You can check out the cover and synopsis below!

BEING A HERO IS IN HIS BLOOD

After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – “Bloodshot” – without any memory of his previous life.

But some things can’t stay buried, and Ray refuses to back down when his memories begin to surface. Haunted by the face of his family’s killer, he will stop at nothing to take his revenge and discovers a conspiracy going deeper than he could have possibly imagined…

Being a fan of the comic book series and the character I look forward to reading this before I check out the film. Hopefully this will help me put some of my fears aside about the film. Bloodshot is directed by David S. F. Wilson off a screenplay by Jeff Wadlow and Eric Heisserer based on a story by Wadlow. Joining Diesel in the film are Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell and Guy Pearce.
