Now that Marvel’s mutants are back at home, fans hope the sort of hit-and-miss nature of the films is over and done with. The last entry in what is known as the Fox films, X-Men: Dark Phoenix was certainly a miss. Another film that at best came to mixed reviews was X-Men: Apocalypse.
Olivia Munn, who played Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse recently spoke with GQ, and talked about how the people behind the film, at least in her opinion, weren’t as well-versed on the X-Men as one might think they would be. You can check out what she had to say below.
“When I was doing X-Men, I was actually surprised that the director and the writer didn’t even know that Psylocke had a twin brother. And I had to talk to them about a lot of different things about Psylocke and some other parts of the world that they didn’t even know, and that, as a fan, was very frustrating.”

This is somewhat surprising as Singer and Kinberg, for the most part, seem to be knowledgeable on the characters and have teamed up on more than one X-Men film. While there’s still no word on when Marvel’s beloved mutants will make their debut in the MCU, but sure Kevin Feige and his crew are hard at work on exactly how to bring them into the fold.
