Note: SAG-AFTRA has approved an interim agreement for On Fire since the film is being released by Cineverse, an independent, non-AMPTP affiliated distributor. Under the terms, members “may work on these productions without being in violation of the strike order,” per the guild. The entire team of On Fire expresses their gratitude to SAG-AFTRA for allowing the cast to promote On Fire during this challenging time for the industry.

Lance Henriksen had a remarkable career path playing a diverse of characters. From playing military characters to an android, Henriksen has an enduring filmography that still has this veteran acting more to accomplish on screen. For the dramatic thriller On Fire, he was drawn into the family dynamic story in the backdrop of realistic natural disasters people face all the time.

The film also stars Peter Facinelli (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, The Vanished), Fiona Dourif (Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, Shameless), Asher Angel (Shazam!, Andi Mack), Glenn Morshower (The Resident, Bloodline), and Ross McCall. Nick Lyon and Facinelli directed the movie from the screenplay written by Ron Peer and Lyon.

Here is the long synopsis of On Fire:

Inspired by true and harrowing events, On Fire tells the story of an ordinary man (Peter Facinelli) that finds his world suddenly torn apart as devastating wildfires rip through the surrounding countryside. With precious moments ticking by, he must flee with his son (Asher Angel) and pregnant wife (Fiona Dourif) if they have any hope of surviving the rapid forces of mother nature.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with actor Lance Henriksen on the family dynamic element of the movie, working with Fiona Dourif, and his career choices nowadays that keeps him motivated.

Lance Henriksen has a career that ranges from science fiction to action to horror films and TV shows. Some of his notable roles included playing Bishop in the Alien film franchise, Frank Black in the television series Millennium and The X-Files. Also, he appeared as Vukovich in The Terminator, Chains Cooper in Stone Cold, and as Ed Harley in the cult horror film Pumpkinhead. He also performed in voice work with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Mass Effect, and as the voice of Kerchak the gorilla in Disney animated film Tarzan.

On Fire is in select theaters this Friday, September 29.
