One Black Widow will be back, and we are not talking about Yelena. We expect to see main character Yelena back in Hawkeye, however Kevin Feige has teased a cameo for another of the Black Widows. Specifically the Widow played by Jade Xu. In Black Widow there were several mind controlled Widow’s who were freed at the end of the movie, and Xu’s was one of those.
One of the Widows, Jade Xu, was born in China, and is a multiple World Wushu Champion. She may even have a brief cameo in a future Marvel movie… 👀 #BlackWidowWatchParty

I also get the feeling, as do many fans that Feige is teasing where we will see Xu show up next. The fact she was born in China and is a World Wushu Champion makes me think we will see her appear in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. There have been rumors all along that Shang-Chi will feature a fighting tournament. Fans think we already saw a little of that in the trailer which showed Abomination fighting Wong. It’s possible that Xu’s Widow could also be an opponent for someone in this underground tournament?
That’s pure guesswork on my part I admit, but I feel it makes sense.

Feige was taking a Q&A during the Black Widow watch party event at the weekend, as you can see above.
As for Black Widow, it was ok I guess. I felt the villains in the movie were as poorly definied as those within The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The Widows themselves other than Yelena were just nameless background characters, so who knows if we will ever truly see any come back outside of this cameo Feige is teasing?
I loved the four leads of Black Widow, they were great together and that part of the movie was well written. I never felt like Taskmaster was needed in this movie. Overall I felt the characters inclusion was a mistake here, unless it’s a set up for a better version. My only hope is that Taskmaster can be resurrected in the hands of another writer. Yelena coming up against Dreykov farther down the line would be cool. Specifically I mean when her character has had time to develop, or be recruited by someone else could be fun. However Marvel should only use her again if a writer can get her right in my opinion.
