Owen Wilson Had Input Into Mobius Look In Loki

According to the actor himself, Owen Wilson had input into Mobius look within Loki. I’m sure if you read LRM, then you’ve probably already watched Episode 1 of Loki. Of course Wilson looks a little different than we have seen him before. The look of Mobius definitely gives you that, getting on in life, FBI Agent kinda feel doesn’t it? Turns out, much of that was from Wilson himself. Here is what he said about Mobius grey hair when he spoke to Variety recently.

“I’m glad we’re talking about this, because I really love the look for him. The gray hair in that crew cut, that really was just a couple of weeks before filming, that we talked about that. I actually had done something for “Documentary Now,” and I had worn some wigs playing sort of a guru. One look they had for me as an FBI guy, they had me in a kind of more gray hair crew cut.”

“They didn’t really use it in the thing, but I thought that’s a good look, and so I had had that in my mind. When I suggested it [for “Loki”], they were kind of open to it. They worked on it. They were, I think, a little bit nervous, just because it’s different than maybe not what they were expecting, but it’s funny now, I think that they would all say that they couldn’t imagine Mobius not looking like that, because it really did become that character.”

Now when I look at it, I can’t help but try and imagine Mobius with W9lson’s normal sandy blonde shaggy haircut. It does not work. I’m so glad Wilson was able to give this bit of input into the look of the character because it works so much better.

I loved the opening episode of Loki. Honestly, it could have been 50 solid minutes of Wilson and Hiddleston in a room talking (it wasn’t quite) and I’d have been on board. Some times you just get chemistry, and these two have it instantly. Though, I’d be amiss to not mention Hiddleston’s great performance. Loki literally goes through the emotional development of years across a few scenes and Hiddleston’s performance made me buy it.

What did you think of Owen Wilson and Mobius in Loki? What did you think of Loki in general? Leave any thoughts below.
