Paddy’s Ain’t Closing Yet, It’s Always Sunny Renewed Through Season 18!

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been renewed through Season 18. The series now has the honor of being the longest-running (American) live-action comedy television history. Not bad for considering the original pilot was shot to be for somewhere between $100-$200.

In my opinion, the gang has been firing on all cylinders since Season 10. I think it’s consistently been one of if not the funniest show on television for most, or even all of its run. There is a couple of valleys among many peaks. However, a subpar Sunny in Philly episode is as good or better than a good episode of many other shows. The gang might the most loveable degenerates to ever grace the small screen. While they all have the ability to be good, decent human beings, it’s just not in their nature to do so. They’re like an amplified version of the Seinfeld 4. We’ve seen them do terrible, unthinkable things to people, including each other. without remorse.

The shorter season format the switched to a few seasons back has worked out great. As fans, we get fewer episodes, but for the most part, the episodes are of a higher and most consistent quality.
