In a recent interview VisionQuest star Paul Bettany teases James Spader’s Ultron and a possible Secret Wars return for himself. VisionQuest hits Disney+ on October 14th and Bettany recently spoke with Josh Horowitz about the upcoming series.
“He is delicious. He’s so funny in this. It’s so delicious to watch him. And we loved working together. I loved it so much.” Horowitz pushed him on whether we’ll see Ultron’s robotic form? All he would say is, “The story largely revolves around that relationship. And it’s really fun. It’s fun stuff.”
Though, we do know from showrunner Terry Matalas that Ultron’s true form will be shown.

Bettany was then quizzed on whether he is a part of Avengers: Secret Wars or not?
“I think so? As much as, touch wood, it keeps the kids in private school, anything going on at Marvel, they change their mind, or you really do never know. It’s true that you never know, by the way.”
“I mean, when we all died [Infinity War], we found out that day. They took us into a trailer with pre-vis, and everybody was sitting watching the screen, going, ‘Oh, I die.’ Nobody knew. We didn’t know. So, you really don’t know. They really do keep this stuff very secret.”
As you can see from the related section above, there is a rumor that VisionQuest builds into Secret Wars more than it does Doomsday which comes directly after it. Though, far as I know Bettany’s Vision makes no appearance in Doomsday.
