Photos From The Set Of The Deadwood Film Have Moseyed On Into Town

After more than a decade of rumors the long awaited Deadwood film is really happening. We know for sure this time around because set photos from the production found there way on to the Internet today. You can check out the photos here.

The first photo features the show’s most lovable saloon owner and a real son of a bitch, Al Swearengen, played of course by the fantastic Ian McShane. Old Swearengen looks pretty good considering the movie is set 10 years from when we last saw the townspeople, who have all gathered again to celebrate their beloved South Dakota attaining statehood.

The second photo shows Timothy Olyphant’s Seth Bullock, who fans know was the sheriff in the town of Deadwood. Bullock has made his way up through the ranks of law enforcement and is now a U.S. Marshal. Bullock’s trademark mustache appears to be a bit fuller, and he is also aging gracefully, looking very distinguished.

The script was penned by series creator David Milch and along with Olyphant and McShane, it appears as if most all of the original cast are returning. Production began back in October and the film is expected to be released sometime next year.
