Planet Of The Apes To Be Rebooted Again

I don’t mind the idea of remakes or reboots. Yes, sometimes they appear to be nothing more than a lazy cash grab, but if done correctly they can continue a franchise’s legacy and sometimes even improve on it. One example was the most recent retelling of the classic story of Planet of the Apes.

The first film, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, starred James Franco and was way better than almost anyone thought it would be. While I think it’s an excellent film, part of the reason why I give it so much praise is, I was blown away in comparison to what I had expected.

Let’s hope the now Disney owned franchise (thanks to the Mouse’s acquisition of Fox), can deliver something of the same level of quality, with which according to DiscussingFilm, will see Maze Runner alums Wes Ball to direct and Daniel Dorrance coming on as a production designer.
