Prime Video’s The Power Series Trailer Has Teen Girls Worldwide with Electrifying and Terrifying Powers

The Power

The new Prime Video series The Power certainly defines how girls can rule the world.

This series follows a few teenage girls discovering their new powers of generating electricity out of their bodies. As with extraordinary powers, these teens diverge into helping society, abusing their abilities, or using them for evil. Then the fear from adults with no powers must react to the new chaotic world that came with this revelation.

The series stars Toni Collette, John Leguizamo, Auli’I Cravalho, Toheeb Jimoh, Josh Charles, Eddie Marsan Monke, Ria Zmitrowicz, Zrinka Cvitešić, and Halle Bush.

Here is the official description:

The Power is our world, but for one twist of nature. Suddenly, and without warning, teenage girls develop the power to electrocute people at will. The series features a cast of remarkable characters from London to Seattle, Nigeria to Eastern Europe, as the Power evolves from a tingle in teenagers’ collarbones to a complete reversal of the power balance of the world.

Based on the British author Naomi Alderman’s award-winning novel, the series is in good hands with Raelle Tucker (True Blood, Jessica Jones) as the showrunner. Instead of good versus evil, the series seems like a coming-of-age emotional drama with teen girls learning their place in society with newfound powers.

The first three episodes of The Power stream on Prime Video on Friday, March 31, with new episodes available every Friday, leading to the season finale on May 12.
