ABC’s Promised Land will premiere its third episode tonight. In the first two episodes, we have got to know the Sandoval family. We have learned that Joe’s past is a lot like a lot of the migrant workers that now reside and work hard in California and other places around the country. But now, he is the owner of a successful winery in Sonoma Valley. He also has a large family that includes children from two relationships that are grown and looking to be successful themselves. While it has been interesting the differences in Joe’s character and what wealth and power have done to him, what is the perspective of his kids? Who did not have that background of poverty?
Promised Land offers us that point of view through many characters. Two of them specifically are Carmen Sandoval that is played by Mariel Molino and Antonio Sandoval that is played by Tonatiuh. They are the children that Joe had with Margaret Honeycroft, played by Bellamy Young. With Margaret looking to take over Joe’s business, whose side will they be on?
