Quentin Tarantino – MIchael Madsen Reveals The Director’s Idea For The Vega Brothers Film

For years now, director Quentin Tarantino has teased fans with a potential spin-off film that would involve Vic and vincent, the Vega brothers. However, considering the fates of both brothers in their respective films, the movie would have had to have been a prequel.

Both Michael Madsen (Vic) and John Travolta (Vincent) are now too old to play younger versions of themselves. And I doubt QT would want to mess around with deaging. However, Michael Madsen recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter. The actor revealed Tarantino’s idea to get around this issue, you can check it out below.

“[Quentin Tarantino] had come up with this idea that it would be the twin brothers of Vic and Vincent, who met after the deaths of their siblings. It was very complicated, but when Quentin starts discussing an idea, it’s very easy to go along with it.”

More from Madsen:

“We were supposed to be in Amsterdam, criminally. The picture was going to start out with the two of us being released from prison in different states. And we open up a club in Amsterdam.”

A bit of a different take on the twin brother thing, but I like it. As Madsen said above, you’d likely be hard-pressed to find a fan of Quentin Tarantino who would say no to watching this film. The director’s next project is currently unknown. But not long ago we heard rumblings of a third Kill Bill film, but no official movement has been announced.

Personally I would like to see both the Vega Brothers and Kill Bill 3 get made, but in all likelihood, we would be lucky to even see one of them come to fruition.
