According to a new rumor, Disney has an R-rated Deadpool animated show in development starring Ryan Reynolds himself. The rumor comes from BubbleBlabber who regularly cover news of anything animated. I have not come across this outlet before, but have heard they are reliable for cartoon leaks and news. Whilst the Deadpool news was not the focus of the article linked above they did have this at the bottom.
This was after referencing many animated show in active development by Disney.
Not only are those 11 series in production, but the unit has “dozens” of other series in various stages of production (an animated Deadpool R-rated series for Hulu starring Ryan Reynolds in the lead role is being discussed) and is looking to expand which is very exciting news.
Obviously a Hulu platform in the U.S. would indicate Disney Star elsewhere in the World. Frankly, it would be the perfect platform for Deadpool as far as I am concerned. If they could pull off getting Reynolds to voice Wade, all the better. What is clear is that this Deadpool animated show is not in active development like the other shows the outlet mentions. Being discussed can quite quickly lead to left on the floor for a variety of reasons. I think first and foremost in Reynolds and Disney minds will be that to do for Deadpool 3?

Unlike the rest of Fox’s X-Men franchise it seems like Deadpool is sticking around in the MCU. Rumor is that Deadpool 3 is being developed and the character will be introduced to the MCU somehow. Now, if Disney are somehow able to pull that feat off, then an animated show sounds like a great idea. First things first though.
There was a Deadpool animated show being developed by Donald Glover not that long ago and it was cancelled. However at that point Marvel TV and Marvel movies were under a different banner. Now Kevin Feige controls all of Marvel it could be time to resurrect a few ideas. Would you like to see an R-rated Deadpool animated show on Hulu/Disney Star?
