Ray Fisher Refutes Claim That He Wanted Double The Money In The Flash

Whedon Breaks Silence On Justice League Allegations And Ray Fisher Responds

Ray Fisher wants double the money offered for a glorified cameo?

The drama continues between Ray Fisher and Warner Bros. The actor’s accusations against the studio have already made the Justice League reshoots kind of awkward, but it looks like it’s spilled over into the standalone Flash movie. And that’s not exactly surprising. There are reports that Cyborg is set to appear in the film, so there would inevitably be some drama surrounding his return.

THR reported yesterday that Fisher is currently in negotiations to show up in The Flash, but things aren’t going well. While Cyborg originally had a larger role in the film, as it stands, he has what is being described as “a three-scene” appearance. After upping its negotiated price for the film, the studio was reportedly countered by Fisher with a figure double the one they gave.

Needless to say, Warner Bros did not accept, and negotiations have stalled. At least, that’s the story according to THR. Now, Ray Fisher is contesting the report.

“It would appear that @wbpictures has gone from giving libelous official statements to one media outlet, to becoming ‘a source’ of purposeful misinformation for another,” the actor tweeted. “The people are on to you. The investigation is coming. Casting aspersions on me will not change that.”

This is very interesting. I can’t help but wonder if Ray Fisher has documentation to prove he didn’t ask for double the money. If he is right, rather than putting out statements, the studio is instead feeding information to the press in hopes of undercutting Fisher’s credibility.

Of course, there’s no telling whether or not what Fisher says is true, but it’s certainly not a good look for Warner Bros. The fact that negative stories keep popping up about Fisher, only for Fisher to bite back on Twitter only makes them look like bullies and lose credit in the public eye.

But none of that matters. As Fisher says, it’s all about the investigation. And hopefully, once all this is done, the guilty party will be prosecuted for whatever wrongdoings they committed.
