Ray Fisher Vs DC – Episode 4 Review – Free Talk Friday

Yeah, I’m playing with this story because I’m starting to feel like Ray Fisher Vs DC is turning into a soap opera. So figured why not cover it in a little more detail my Friday column. You may have wondered where Free Talk Friday was the last two weeks? Well seen as it was New Years Day and Xmas day respectively, I’m sorry but I was on holiday, so gimme a break will ya?

Only kidding. Yesterday we shared a report from the folks at The Wrap who said that Cyborg actor Ray Fisher was out the DCEU. Fisher was supposed to feature in The Flash, but had apparently been written out. This came on the heels of Fisher claiming he would never work with DC boss Walter Hamada.

If I was Walter Hamada and I read Fisher’s comments, I’d assume it’s best to write him out The Flash also. After all, Hamada just re-upped his contract for DC. If Fisher does not want to work for him, he’d have a hard job making The Flash no?

But, you know this is just going to keep on rolling, so here was the response from Fisher to that The Wrap report. Fisher as you can see is essentially accusing Umberto Gonzalez of being a puppet for DC. Even if that were the case, it must mean the information Umberto got from DC is accurate, or am I missing something?

So just to be clear, Umberto did not claim Fisher stepped down, he claimed he was written out. I.e. he didn’t leave he was pushed. So unless Fisher is saying he will be in The Flash, which he does not, I am not sure why he is asking for the story to be looked at?

Round 4 – Fight!

Ray Fisher Vs DC

One thing seems clear and that’s that DC no longer appears to be interested in working with Ray Fisher again. Not only that, but Umberto then added on to all this by sharing a statement issued by WB about this whole mess. One might think this is the final nail in the coffin of this drama, but I doubt it.

So WB are saying they took action, that action is completed, and the investigation is over. Walter Hamada is not going to lose his job, Zack Snyder is not going to be made Emperor of WB and get to complete his vision with Ray Fisher as his top star. I say this because I can only assume this is Fisher’s goal? Not knowing Fisher, and simply based off his posts we have covered, I  assume that’s what he wants? Joss Whedon never to work again? Walter Hamada to be manning a gas station, and he and Zack Snyder giving the fans what they want? What is Fisher’s endgame?

Maybe I am doing Fisher a disservice and I don’t mean to. I just think that it’s clear that whatever happened, WB has decided to not go any further with this business. The more Fisher hears that, the more he seems to push further? So who knows where this all ends, but I’ll guess it’s not with Fisher starring in The Flash?

What do you think of Ray Fisher Vs DC business. Who will win, or is this more like a fly fighting Mike Tyson? The fly is fighting for it’s life and Tyson doesn’t even know it’s there? any comments below as usual.
