RDJ Gave Chris Evans A 1967 Camaro [VIDEO]

While Steve Rogers and Tony Stark have had a friendship with a few missteps and disagreements, there is no denying the bromance behind the scenes between stars Robert Downey, Jr. and Chris Evans. Having worked together in five different Marvel films, the two have built a bond that exists beyond the set and into their personal lives and social media. Whether it’s the red carpet or Twitter, the two find a way to poke, joke and have fun with each other. However, it doesn’t end there.

Just before the filming of Avengers: Infinity War in Atlanta, RDJ ended up purchasing a 1967 Chevy Camaro and had it fixed up with the intention of giving it as a gift to Evans. Dave Salvaggio of SpeedKore Performance headed up the project for RDJ and created a stunningly beautiful vehicle, which was eventually delivered to Evans on the set of the film. This week, Evans will be on an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage discussing the vehicle. Here is a behind-the-scenes discussion of the vehicle with Leno and Salvaggio:

The fact that RDJ thought of buying his castmate and friend Evans a vintage muscle car shows a) how close of a friendship the two have formed and b) how well these two are living after playing these legendary comic book characters. Let’s all hope that one day, we can have a friend like RDJ, because I would not mind having a beautiful ’67 Camaro in my garage.

Chris Evans and his Camaro will be on Jay Leno’s Garage this Thursday night on CNBC.
