While MoviePass appears to still be sorting things out, Regal cinemas has their own monthly subscirption service set to launch at the end of this month. According to Deadline the company will offer plants of $18, $21, and $24. All passes will allow unlimited tickets, the difference in price is for access.
The most expensive plan will get you into any Regal theater in the country. The cheapest plan will get you access to about half of the chain’s locations, and all plans receive 10% off concession items. SHould a customer on the least expensive plan find their way to a Regal location not included in their progam, there will be an additional charge that is thought to be $2-$3. The program is reportedly called Regal Unlimited and may require customers to purchase a full year in advance, though that isn’t confirmed.

Even ith the possibility of having to pony up for a year’s subscription, it still may be worth it, it really just depends on how often one goes to the movies. Upwards of $200 isn’t a small amount for the average person to drop on movies, but the 10% off of concessions isn’t a bad thing to throw in the deal either, as that’s where trips to the theaters really dig into a person’s wallet.
