According to a new report by NY Times, we should expect some big Star Wars News during today’s Disney Investor Day. The four hour Disney Investor Day begins at 4pm ET today, and whilst we have no idea what will be covered, the outlet says to expect some big Star Wars news.

NY Times sources have pointed to a significant Star Wars expansion being announced today. Specifically their sources said  Disney will discuss a “Death Star size trove of coming content”. That sounds promising, but what kind of content could we be talking about? Given the current Global situation I would guess we are talking streaming content for Disney+. So what shows could be coming to Disney+?

We already know about a few, first being The Mandalorian Season 3 which is due to begin filming soon. However we also have both Cassian Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi shows beginning filming soon, or started. There is also an unnamed show coming from Leslye Headland, and an animated show in The Bad Batch. That’s everything we know officially about right now. Going further than this we have to get into rumor territory. The most advanced of these rumored shows appears to be a Boba Fett prequel mini-series. This Fett show is expected to film soon and may even air prior to The Mandalorian Season 3.

There are other possibilities however? LRM has previously reported that an Ahsoka Tano show, and an Ezra Bridger/Thrawn show were also being developed. The Ahsoka Tano show has been backed up by various Trades, and the Ezra/Thrawn show has been corroborated by other insiders. Finally LRM also heard about a possible Cara Dune spin-off, however KRT added that Bo-Katan Kryze could also show up there. Since then news on the Cara Dune show has admittedly gone cold, and that’s left us wondering if plans have changed? Finally we have a potential Rogue Squadrons animated show coming according to our source. KRT have also heard about an animated Rebels sequel, though again, I personally wonder if an animated Rebels sequel is still on the cards?

We will have to wait and see what is announced in that four hour call later. Kyle Malone will be running a live-stream Podcast for the during of the Investors call beginning at 4pm ET. Various other LRM scribes will be joining Kyle periodically throughout the four hour window. I will be joining Kyle for the first 45 minutes or so of the event. I’m expecting that to be the least eventful period mind you, but who knows?

Honestly, I always go into these calls with almost zero expectations. However, this new report from NY Times has me getting my hopes up and I know I shouldn’t do that.
