Today we share a description of a scene being filmed for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at MIT. This scene from the Black Panther shoot happens to feature Riri Williams. Williams, played by Dominique Thorne was only recently confirmed as appearing in Wakanda Forever by Kevin Feige. The Cosmic Circus received some information and images from a source who checked out what was going down at the filming at MIT. Sure enough, there was Thorne in a scene. I’ll post the direct quote below for you.
“I was at MIT today while they were doing day shoots for Black Panther 2. Wanted to share what we saw.
One scene we saw being filmed outside the Stratton Student Center was Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) talking to a male (I presume) student. It was a pretty quick scene. She had a gray shirt on. The male student was a taller, white male, wearing a dark red shirt. Extras acting like students walked around in the background.
The Riri scene was just her and a guy talking, then she walked away, and pulled out her cellphone. Very short.”

Not very exciting to be fair, I know. Thorne talked to a student at MIT and took a phone call. However the images themselves have shown us a little more. I cannot post them for you, but you can find them in the link above for the outlet who posted them. It’s hard to tell, but it seems like perhaps Okoye and the Dora Milaje are there at MIT for some reason? We also saw recently a lot of what appears to be security vehicles, and one wonders if there is some event at MIT, or, whether everyone needs to get a hold of Williams super urgently?
Maybe we will hear more, but it doesn’t seem like they are there to shoot a few quiet scenes of Williams being at school. Then again, it’s hard to tell much from just a few leaked images and the vehicles we saw arrive.
What do you think of this description of Riri Williams in the Black Panther shoot? Any guesses to what is going down at MIT? Sound off below.
