Rob Liefeld Hints At This X-Force Villain

Even though the characters are now under control of the House of Mouse (or will be very soon) Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld’s confidence in an X-force movie remains steadfast. Liefeld recently spoke with Nerdist, and hinted, somewhat strongly in my opinion, that the X-Force film could see Josh Brolin in a dual role, playing Cable and taking on the role of the villain, Stryfe.

“Well, do you really hire Josh Brolin if you don’t want him to play both roles?” Liefeld replied. “We are perfectly assembled for an X-Force movie. And how do you not scratch that Stryfe itch, right?”

Can Brolin pulls this off? In my opinion, absolutely, and I would very much like to see him do it. All of this, of course, depends on what Disney has planned for their newly acquired properties. Surely Disney had teams of people working on ideas even before they were sure the deal was going to go through, so my thinking is we will know soon enough (though, it’s worth keeping in mind that their deal with Fox won’t go through until early 2019).

For those that might not know, Stryfe is a clone of Brolin’s Cable and was created while stopping the spread of the techno-organic virus Cable was inflicted with by Apocalypse.

Is a double serving of Josh Brolin what the X-Force movie needs? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!
