Ronke Adekoluejo and Brenock O’Connor are part of the new Alex Rider series on IMDb TV.  Alex Rider is based on the second book, Point Blanc of the franchise. Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker (2006) was the adaptation of the first novel, Stormbreaker. It was announced earlier this week there will be a second season based on Anthony Horowitz‘s fourth novel, Eagle Strike.

The coming of age spy-thriller series is based on the best selling book franchise written by Anthony Horowitz. Over 20 million copies have been sold worldwide. The series follows a London based teenager that unknowingly has been trained to be able to thrive in the dangerous world of espionage. His skills are tested after his uncle’s death comes with no logical explanation. Alex goes under a new identity to an isolated boarding school called Point Blanc. There he will find a deeper truth about the students that are subject for a disturbing plan and will be up to him to intervene. Potentially risking his life.

Ronke Adekoluejo is a English actress that studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). She began her career in theater and added television appearances. She is known for the Netflix musical, Been So Long, Disney’s Christopher Robin and Doctor Who. Adekoluejo is also a writer and made a name for herself for her play, Teleportation during the This Is Black Festival last year. 

The British actor, Brenock O’Connor is known for his character, Olly in the popular series Game Of Thrones. Since then he has been in several television shows and films. He was part of the BBC series Dickensian and The Split. He recently starred in the Off-Broadway adaptation of the film, Sling Street in late 2019. 

I had the opportunity to speak with Ronke Adekoluejo and Brenock O’Connor. They both shared their own story in being casted into the series. Adekoluejo talked about her character, Jack. O’Connor shared his excitement of being a part of the series and growing up reading the novels.
