Actress Rosario Dawson became part of the Star Wars universe in a big way. During the second season of The Mandalorian, she brought to life one of the most beloved characters in a galaxy far, far away in Ahsoka Tano. Dawson posted a time-lapse video to her Twitter account showing her transformation into the character. You can check it out below.
Happy #AhsokaTanoDay ! Thank you @Ashley_Eckstein for bringing Ashoka to life for us all. It’s one of the greatest honors & privileges of my life to share this remarkable character w/ the world alongside you. #DreamTeam @starwars @dave_filoni @Jon_Favreau #BrianSipe #SamanthaWard pic.twitter.com/9JThoyrm6q

Introduced as the padawan of Anakin Skywalker and protagonist in the 2008 animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Ahsoka Tano wasn’t well-received at first by both critics and fans. However, she became a fan-favorite appearing in The Clone Wars television series as well as Star Wars Rebels. Much to the delight of fans, it was announced at Disney’s investor’s meeting that Ahsoka will be receiving her own Disney+ series. Dawson will of course return to reprise her role as the character lovingly nicknamed, “Snips.” within Ahsoka. I guess Dawson will have to get used to this make-up process?
The fifth episode of the Season 2 of The Mandalorian, “The Jedi,” was one of the high points of the season. It may have been the highest point if not for Luke Skywalker showing up to take Grogu in the season finale. Not trying to take anything away from Dawson or Ahsoka, but, I mean, it was Luke.
