Salt anyone?
Today’s grain is an interesting one indeed. According to YouTuber Mike Zeroh, it has been reported that the latest rumor to make it out of the mill is that Disney has contacted Star Wars Creator George Lucas to give input and possibly help put the finishing touches on the script for the still-untitled Episode 9, which will be the closing chapter of Disney’s sequel trilogy. The thought is that bringing Lucas on board will help to make this latest trilogy feel more connected to the other six films in the franchise, in an attempt to create one cohesive saga.

Taking a page out of fellow LRM writer Cam Clark’s book, I feel the new trilogy doesn’t seem like a trilogy at all, at least not up to this point. I attribute this to what I think was one of Disney’s earliest mistakes, not having a pre-planned overall story arc set to play out over the three films. While I can understand Disney being apprehensive due to the reception of the prequels, they should have let Lucas guide them through this first trilogy, and personally, I would welcome Lucas back to try to bring the universe he created back to what it once was.
