You remember way back when Matt Reeves first signed on to helm The Batman, the long-awaited standalone film set in the DC Extended Universe? Yeah, I have a hard time remembering myself. It all felt so long ago. Unlike other big DC productions, this one is moving at a glacial pace, with writer-director Matt Reeves working hard to ensure this one doesn’t disappoint as early DCEU films have.

As far as we know, Reeves has turned in a recent draft to the studio…but what does that draft include? Rumors have been thrown about regarding one Oswald Cobblepot (aka the Penguin) being the main baddie of this one. However, a new report from Heroic Hollywood states that he won’t be the only one, and that another baddie will be featured in the flick.

Unfortunately, we have no more information regarding all this. We don’t know who that character will be, what their role will be, or what the actual plot of the film will entail. As with all rumors, take this one with a salt-lick. Even if it is true, sources are saying that Warner Bros. is working hard to ensure this one meets fan expectations. This means that things can always change. Unlike in the past, Warner Bros. doesn’t seem to be in a mad dash to get this one out, which is probably a good thing.
