RUMOR- Peter Jackson Is Interested In Joining The DC Film Universe

According to the site, The One Ring, a new rumor implies that Peter Jackson is interested in trying his hand at a superhero film. Jackson is no stranger to large-scale films as he helmed the well-loved Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as the not-so-loved Hobbit trilogy.

Jackson’s production company is also said to be deciding whether or not to get involved with well-financed Lord of the Rings television series which is being produced by Amazon. His involvement in the world of DC likely depends on the outcome of his team’s decision to participate in the Amazon series.

Since no official word has come down from the bigwigs at DC or Warner Bros. take this rumor with the usual grain of salt, though this sounds like it would be a solid move for the studio. After the mediocre success of both Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, Jackson could be just what DC needs to sort of revitalize the brand. I think Jackson could do a fantastic job within the superhero genre if given the opportunity. As for now, we’ll just have to wait and see if there is anything to this rumor.
