Recently there has been a buzz that Chris Evans is coming back to the MCU. Today we share some rumored new Steve Rogers projects from Insider Daniel Richtman’s Patreon. The early buzz after the initial Deadline reports that Evans was in talks to return were that it was for three pictures. We know Evans has denied knowing anything about these talks, but I don’t buy that.
Last well I did my Free Talk Friday column on some of the possible projects that fans would be excited to see Evans come back for. However Richtman says his sources have given him those three possible pictures. We actually picked this information up from the twitter post below.

Translation wise, ( I have checked the actual Patreon) here is what Richtman said, paraphrased.
First up for Evans is one we all kinda figured. Apparently Evans will play Captain Hydra within Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Given what little we know of that movie, this does seem a likely picture for a cool Evans moment.

The next two new Steve Rogers projects are a little harder to get behind currently. Richtman says Marvel wants Evans to play Rogers in two movies set in the past and featuring Wolverine. My skepticism here comes primarily from the mention of Wolverine. Two pictures set with Cap in the past (his other life) would be a reasonable guess to make. However, Wolverine is not currently in the MCU and when asked recently Kevin Feige said they were not currently casting the role. We know Wolverine will appear eventually in the MCU, but it seems a while off yet.
Would Marvel already be looking to lock down Evans for two movies with whoever plays Wolverine for that long down the road? Maybe they would to be fair. If Marvel already has an idea how to introduce Wolverine in his past/Cap’s future then signing on Evans makes sense. It’s not like they have to cast Wolverine before signing up Evans is it? But I would be lying if I said I was throwing my hat into the ring with this one. I get a feeling for this sort of thing, and 80% of the time it checks out. But, I have been wrong before and will be again.
What do you think of these rumored new Steve Rogers projects (not using Cap as we are getting a new Cap)? Would you be interested in seeing this all play out as Richtman has heard. Leave your thoughts below.
