Now, I’ll warn this story isn’t massively spoilerific at all. Instead we are looking at some very vague rumored plot details of Captain America: New World Order. Over the last couple of days, a rumor began that said both New World Order, and Thunderbolts would revolve around Vibranium, and it’s acquisition. This probably came from some others rumors I’ve heard that the US Govt acts hostile towards Wakanda.
You can trace back this original rumor from the post below. However KC Walsh of The GWW has come out against this slightly. Walsh says that New World Order is essentially a direct continuation of the Super Soldier storyline from Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

To be fair, this makes sense for a lot of reasons. For one, Cap is already involved in tracking this down and dealing with it’s use. Secondly we know Samuel Sterns, aka The Leader is returning, as is Senator Ross, now rumored to be President Ross, see below.

Given that the Hulk program was in the MCU a result of Ross’s work on the Super Soldier Program it makes sense connected all these parts together. My bet is that Red Hulk is a serious possibility in New World Order. Or that The Leader has his own plans that deviate from Ross’s. Given that Vibranium does have super soldier like properties in certain conditions, I guess it is possible acquiring some is something Sterns and Ross want.
However that feels far more likely to me to be an outline for where Thunderbolts could go rather than Cap 4. However all this is purely speculation on my part. Granted that speculation is based on what we already know from previous entries. However the rumors themselves you can see above and that’s for now, all we have to go on.
