Russo Brothers Developing Valiant’s Quantum And Woody For TBS

Valiant Entertainment is without a doubt making a big push to get their characters into both television and films. We know that Sony Pictures is working on Bloodshot starring Vin Diesel and that Faith was recently also picked up for development. There has been another property that Valiant has been working on bringing to television even before DMG took control of Valiant Entertainment, Quantum and Woody.

In an exclusive with Deadline we have learned that Quantum and Woody is in early development at TBS by the Avengers: Infinity War directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. Ant-Man and the Wasp‘s Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari have been brought on to write the pilot that could hopefully turn into a series.

Quantum and Woody were co-created by Christopher Priest and artist Mark Bright in 1997. The not so dynamic duo are adoptive brothers that come together after their fathers mysterious death. While investigating they accidentally acquire powers that force them to come together once a day.

Valiant Entertainment is the third largest universe of superhero characters in entertainment only behind Disney’s Marvel and Warner Bros’ DC Comics. Their library includes more than 2,000 characters including X-O Manowar, Bloodshot, Shadowman, Archer & Armstrong, Ninjak and so many more. Valiant is a very attractive proposition to studios since DMG owns the IP.

Volume one of the latest adventures of Quantum and Woody is available now at comic shops titled Quantum and Woody Vol: 1 Kiss Kiss, Klang Klang written by Daniel Kibblesmith with art by Kano and Francis Portela and colors by Andrew Dalhouse. It collects the first five issues of the series.
