Ryan Reynolds Says The Relationship He Has With Hugh Jackman Is “War”

The saga continues, no for once when I use the word saga I am not talking about theepisodic installments to the Star Wars franchise, I am referring to a tale as old as time, one of unrequited love between a mercenary and a wolverine. Yes, I am talking about Ryan Reynolds seemingly never ending quest to persuade Hugh Jackman to return just one more time as the Wolverine in a team up film with Reynolds’ Deadpool.

Reynolds recently appeared on Ellen Degeneres’ talk show and discussed his persistent efforts to get Jackman to wear the claws one last time.

“I would love him to. I would love to do a Deadpool, Wolverine mashup at some point, some kind of Logan thing. I don’t know. He’s on this kick ball change kick right now. I can’t seem to bring him back. I can’t seem to bring him back to the violence and mayhem. I’m trying. I talk to him every other day. Every other, other day he takes the call. But yeah, no, it’s not really a rivalry. It’s war.”

More so than war, their relationship reminds me a lot of Pepe LePew and Penelope. With each passing day, it becomes less and less likely that Jackman will ever return. Jackman recently announced that next year he is going on a one man worldwide tour and will be performing songs from Les Miserables and The Greatest Showman, so unfortunately he will be quite busy for the foreseeable future, and it doesn’t look like a team up is likely any time soon.

Should Ryan Reynolds just admit defeat and give up, or should he keep pursuing the team up all of us nerds dream about? Let us know in the comments down below!
