Jak sie masz, my name not a Borat. However, according to Collider, Sacha Baron Cohen will be back as the character in a secretly filmed a sequel to the 2006 film, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

HIGH FIVE!!

Yeah, there was no way I was just going to call it, Borat, where’s the fun in that? He’s awkward, insensitive, unknowingly offensive, and f**king hilarious. And I know I’m not alone in being anxious to see our foreign friends new antics on the unsuspecting public.

Borat was and still is one of the funniest 90 minutes I’ve ever seen. I was working at Hollywood Video when the film was released on DVD, and, as some of you may know the DVD looked like a burned disc. We received tons of calls accusing the store of renting burnt copies of the film. I’m pretty sure we eventually put a sign up in the window.

This is great news as Borat is m favorite character of Cohen’s. While Bruno, and The Dictator were entertaining, they weren’t laugh out loud funny for nearly an hour-and-a-half straight like Borat. While I’m sure he was recognized by at least a few people, it has been roughly 15 years since the last film which is plenty of time for the majority of the public to forget him. Hopefully, with the time that has gone by and some clever new bits, Borat 2 will live up to the original film.
