Scream debuts in theaters this weekend from Paramount Pictures. The horror/slasher classic that first terrorized Woodsboro in 1996 is back. This new chapter for the franchise takes place twenty-five years after the events of the first film. A new killer has now taken up the mantel of the infamous Ghostface. He is now targeting a group of teenagers and it forces some of the original characters back into the line of fire.
What is going to make Scream interesting as we saw in the final trailer earlier this week, is how both the teenagers and the older characters handle the situation. By the looks of the trailers we have seen, the reemergence of Ghostface quickly forces Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey Riley back into action. Unfortunately, the younger group does not seem to take it as seriously which puts them in grave danger. I am eager to see who falls to Ghostface and who survives to tell the tale.

With the release of Paramount Pictures Scream this week, LRM Online’s Emmanuel Gomez spoke with Jenna Ortega. She is one of the actresses that stars in the next chapter of this slasher franchise. In the trailers for the film, she is seen recreating the iconic scene from the original film that starred Drew Berrymore. We talk about that scene as well as who she was with on the other line. She also tells us about working with the Scream franchise veterans. Overall a great conversation that you can check out down below!
