According to a new Production List report, Secret Invasion shoot date is April 5th. The ever reliable outlet is rarely (if ever) wrong and amongst several other productions they have the shoot date for Secret Invasion listed. We already know a little about what Secret Invasion will entail. Marvel has already made comments about the show revolving around Nick Fury and Talos, which makes sense. However, given the comic book origins, just how big of a show will Secret Invasion be?
According to Marvel boss Kevin Feige, we should not accept too literal a translation. You can find Feige’s full quote in the related section below. However Feige essentially told us not to expect the same size of cast the comic books had. The ‘Secret Invasion; comic arc seemed to incorporate almost the entire Marvel comics Universe. I expect Secret Invasion to be a big Disney+ show, but it won’t have more characters than Avengers: Endgame is I think what Feige is telling us.
The last we saw of Nicky Fury he was somewhere in space on a Skrull space ship. Talos was the one who had been pretending to be Fury throughout Spider-Man: Far From Home. So what exactly is Fury doing off-planet? How are the seemingly friendly Skrulls going to invade Earth, and why? Will a separate, more dangerous faction of Skrulls appear, and how long have they been here?
These are some of the questions we have, and who knows which may be answered before Secret Invasion hits Disney+ sometime in, 2022. Currently we have WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight all set to release before Secret Invasion on Disney+. That’s not to mention What If…?, nor the various movies due out between now and then. I guess what I am saying is, that the story we see in Secret Invasion may be easier to predict the closer we get. For now though, anyone’s guess is good.
